Training Center Computer Requirements

Technical Requirements:

Computer settings

P500+ Processor, 128MB of RAM;
Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista,
Minimum screen resolution 800x600,
Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher;
Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher;
Flash 8.0 or higher;
56K minimum connection; broadband (256 kpbs or higher) connection recommended;
Javascript, DHTML and cookies enabled;
Sound card with speakers or headphones strongly recommended.

Alternate operating systems such as Mac or Linux and alternate web browsers such as Firefox, Safari and the AOL browser are NOT supported.

Toolbars

Toolbars Google and Yahoo toolbars (among others) impede the functionality of courses. You must disable these and other nonstandard toolbars while using courseware.
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on View (IE 5, 6) or Tools (IE7)
3. Click on toolbars and
4. Remove the checkmarks from everything except for: • Standard Toolbars • Address Bar • Links • Lock Toolbar •
5. Close Internet Explorer then reopen it.
6. Check the settings again to ensure the changes were saved.

POP-UP Blocker

To disable the integrated pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer version 6 sp2 or later you will need to do the following:
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Internet Options
3. Click on the Privacy Tab
4. Remove the checkmark from Enable Pop-up Blocker at the bottom of the window
5. Click Apply then OK
6. Close Internet Explorer then reopen it.
7. Double Check under Tools, Internet Options, Privacy Tab to ensure the changes were saved.

Firewall

Personal firewall programs such as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security Firewall, etc must allow the access to the courses.
